The 20 composers included in the mini-courses (Grades 1-5) are chosen because of their relative prominence, but we may swap them from time to time. Recently added composers may not yet be included in quizzes. We hope to increase the collection and also create a 20th Century section including Jazz.

  • Grade 1 is largely of the  ‘baroque’ era
  • Grade 2 features composers from the ‘classical’ era
  • Grade 3 is more concerned with the early ‘romantic’ period
  • Grade 4 resides more in the heart of the ‘romantic’ period
  • Grade 5 delves into the late romantic and ‘impressionist’ era
