I would like to say none of these flashcards have enough time. I have been playing and reading music – especially treble clef, for 30 years, and have done these tests about 8 times and only once got them perfect. To look at the musical note and then the answers and click on the right one is not quick, The computer makes it slower and then it takes a while for the next question to come up. Also the computer mouse sometimes clicks the answer before I have had a chance to look at it
Thanks Oboe75 for the comments. I have just increased the time by 15 seconds for you. The flashcard tests are provided simply to help improve speed-reading and not really as a sort of game that requires success on completion. I suppose the best way to approach flashcard tests is to forget about the mouse and play the notes on your instrument – they are set to advance automatically, but then of course you would need someone to click the answers. I originally set the times on all the tests at the most difficult level so they would be a real challenge and encourage more and more practice. Improvement being the goal rather than perfection. I appreciate that computers, mice, broadband speeds will also be a factor. I will add more time on all the tests when I can find some…
